Barragem da Caniçada is situated in Terras de Bouro and Vila Verde municipalities, and may be considered the most beautiful "door" to Peneda-Gerês National Park, a real calling card which will remain in the visitors' memory.

Vilar da Veiga - Cascata do Arado

Situated in the heart of the wonderful Peneda-Gerês National Park, the Cascata do Arado is one of the most famous waterfalls in the Park, that always fascinates those who contemplate this nature wonder. 

The Arado river course originates beautiful sites, as it is the case of this wonderful waterfall, that during summer months, specially on weekends is quite frequented for those who want a refreshing swim. 

The Arado Waterfall is situated at about 900metres, creating a succession of unique waterfalls, where the pure mountain water faces the hard rock, filled with beauty.

The Pedra Bela Viewpoint is a wonderful site that shows off the perfect beauty of the astonishing Peneda-Gerês National Park. Situated in Terras do Bouro region, it is located at about 800 meters high. 
This is one of the most famous spots in Gerês and, once one has the chance to admire the panorama, it get obvious why. Mountains, the Caniçada lagoon, the rivers that flow in the mountain, the delightful confluence of the river Cávado with the river Caldo, the luxurious vegetation or the astonishing Portela do Homem... 
Pedra Bela has always delighted those who visit it, with a breathtaking panorama, worth to be known.

Village of Gerês and Thermal Springs

Small and inviting, the village of Gerês, with the mountains as its backdrop and a great variety of accommodations and restaurants, is the ideal place to rest your suitcases and stay overnight before setting out to discover the municipality. A millenary tradition, the references of thermalism in this zone date back to the roman era, but it was only during the 18th century that the first Gerês Thermal Establishment was built.
